Sports & Recreation
A strong focus and object of tremendous fan support and community pride has been the Katy High School Tigers football team. The school recently won the 2007 State 5A Football Champions, their 4th state title in 10 years.
Among the many sports, recreation and events in and around Katy are: Golf, tennis, shooting, indoor soccer, volleyball and basketball, miniature golf, cycling, bowling, Home & Garden Show, Rice Harvest Festival, Folk Life Festival, Holiday in the Park – Christmas Tree Lighting, Equestrian Center, gyms and spas, parks, cinemas, museums and galleries, youth sports leagues, and two professional football leagues (Intense, Arena)
