Rise Communities LLC is a preeminent developer and manager of creative, masterfully-planned, large-scale communities. Formed in 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Rise started with a vision to bring resort-style living to Texas.
Meridiana, the 3,000-acre community located off Highway 288, is just ten minutes south of Pearland. Since starting sales in 2016, the community has welcomed an on-site elementary school, Meridiana Elementary, on-site junior high and an on-site high school following in 2022. In addition to valuing education, they achieved “Community of The Year” for 2017-2018 for their demonstration of excellence across all facets of the community.
The 1,100-acre Cane Island community, located in Katy, offers island living on the outskirts of the city. The award-winning community is in its final stages of development, with its own on-site elementary school, opening Fall of 2022 and The Oaks Kitchen and Bar.
In addition to its two active developments, Rise acquired 3,600-acres to plant their Copper Mountain community right outside of Phoenix. Although Copper Mountain is currently in the planning stage, it will provide the perfect setting for a signature master-planned community offering extraordinary views and beautiful, elevated natural landscaping and terrain.

Mr. Lawson is responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations., and has over 25 years of acquisition, construction, development and management experience with master-planned communities. Mr. Lawson has been a registered professional engineer in the state of Nevada. He holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
